The mandate came from the top: Then-Ford CEO Lee Iacocca wanted to compete in the small car business with an affordable subcompact that weighed less than a ton. The ads for the car included the tagline: “When you get back to basics, you get back to Ford.” And the Pinto is the very embodiment of automotive basics of the 1970s. A simple two-door sedan with four-speed floor-mounted transmission and a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine capable of a modest 85 hp. That kind of performance may not make you a star at your local track day but the Pinto’s unique shape and retro style will surely make it a favourite of painters and classic car photographers in Forza 4.
Trivia[]
The Pinto is known for exploding when hit in the rear; however this doesn't happen in Forza Motorsport 4.
